James Sanders

Tonights class was led by guest speaker James Sanders. I LOVED his use of Socrative. Socrative is a new and exciting way to make learning interactive. Teachers can control the classroom through an internet site where students can respond to questions, compare answers with peers, and present question to the teacher all digitally through the internet. It is a great way to monitor how many students are paying attention to the lesson because the teacher can monitor how many students have responded to questions and postings. I think it would be a great way for teachers to have students respond to all content areas such as quick writes on in class readings or asking math questions based on a lesson. It is all confidential so students do not feel ashamed about what they are expressing or questions they are asking. It is a great way to make learning collaborative and interactive.
